01. Personal consultations
I’ll let you in on a secret: Exceptional photography happens when you work with someone who puts you at ease. Every commission commences with a personal consultation and chemistry. My manifesto: Photography is more than just what is in front of you. My unique discovery process looks beyond the superficial and gets right to heart of your needs and style. Proposals are individualized, clean and simple, and include all imagery, print rights, and travel fees.
02. Pre-wedding services
Preparation, planning, and detail define my approach - from scouting a location for a portrait session or destination wedding in advance, to collaborating with your planner, to creating inspirational Pinterest boards, to discovering exactly which moments, people, themes, and details are important to you and why. When you plan your engagement session, I offer seasoned advice for styling and spectacular location inspiration to make your images sing.
03. The Wedding Day
My method is is twofold. One: to be a trusted, fun presence so that you can enjoy your time. Two: to bring a seasoned eye for beauty, detail, and composition to your photos to allow you to relax knowing you’re in expert hands. My team is discreet and unobtrusive as needed, but when the time is right, will guide you to your most flattering angles. Throughout the day, we chat and mingle with you and with your guests so everyone feels comfortable and relaxed. It is from that intimate place of trust that we capture the most meaningful imagery.
04. Post Production and Albums
Every single one of your images passes through my fingertips. Post-processing is done with a refined eye, and clean, timeless style. Why? Your photography should not look dated, it should become a classic, and more beautiful with time. Images are delivered in an online gallery. If you long to bring your images to life on the page, I craft albums in linen and leather. Each album is curated and designed so that your story is woven across its pages in the most meaningful and impactful way.

I find I get the most favorable results when couples and planners involve me in timeline suggestions. There are two reasons for this: a smooth and easy experience for portraits and getting ready - and to ensure enough buffer time for a care-free day. I enjoy staying in touch throughout the planning process on anything from dress trial texts to the type of reception lighting you should use to create the most captivating ambiance.
The tone and mood of my work are informed by your wishes, and reflect your personality, the character of your wedding guests and details, and the ambiance of your event. Most importantly, I want your collection to be a balance of people, moments, and details you care about. I capture REAL moments as they happen rather than recreating imagery or posing too much, but will guide you to flattering compositions when the moment is right.
01. WHAT IS YOUR APPROACH TO WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY?
A thousand times yes. In fact, all transit fees are waived for LGBT weddings across the USA. I will fly to you as a gift, friends. It’s only been six years as of this message that the supreme court struck down same sex marriage bans, and I am here to share my skills to care for your memories and love stories.
04. ARE YOU AN LGBT + WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER?
Officially, photos are delivered 90 days after the wedding, but 6 weeks on average. You’ll get an estimated time to deliver around your wedding date, and updates as the editing process progresses. As I seek to surprise and delight clients, my schedule is typically very dense, so I do not offer sneak peeks.
Every photo is edited to via Lightroom, with the highest attention paid to portraits of you two and family formals. If it’s in B/W and not color, it’s meant to be that way. You receive approximately 700-900 of the best images, with some in black and white and duplicates in color.
06. when do we receive our wedding images?
I think every client deserves to leave my studio with something to hold or put into a silver frame. I really believe in the power and importance of having an album - something to hold in your hands when the cake is cut and the guests have departed. Many clients have come back to me over the span of 12+ years, after they’ve realized they’re never going to do it themselves. Your story deserves more than to be shared on a screen.
My albums are produced in linen and leather, with a variety of customization options. It takes anywhere from 6 weeks to a full year to receive your album depending on how long it takes to select your images, and how quickly you get back to me with revisions on your layout. Some couples simply prefer to receive the album in time for their first wedding anniversary.
