“Involuntarily I glanced seaward—and distinguished nothing except a single green light, minute and far away, that might have been at the end of a dock”
-F. Scott Fitzgerald
Sagamore Pendry Baltimore Hotel is one of storied history dating back over a century. What was once a recreational pier that served as a beacon to immigrants that came through rain, sleet, and snow to reach the great city of Baltimore, has become a thing of beauty. A green light at the end of the dock that represents fulfilled want and need. A Baltimore wedding venue that exudes luxury and style – a Pendry Hotel wedding is always an event to be in awe of from the rehearsal dinner to the grand exit.
The features of this hotel constantly leave me floored with amazement. From the outdoor terrace to the grand ballroom, the atrium to the whiskey bar to even the square feet of the pool. Everything about the venue is meticulous and detail-oriented.
They took this rec pier and turned it into an indoor-outdoor space that looks like it walked right out of West Hollywood. This luxury hotel is a feat and deserves the respect its name carries.
As a part of the Montage Hotel Resorts list, this wedding venue is up there with some of the greatest in the world. To have one’s wedding here is a privilege. To be able to photograph someone’s wedding here?
An absolute honor.
Speaking of an honor;
A Pendry Hotel Wedding
Rachel and Hirsh celebrated their wedding with gilded-age drama and modern romance. After rescheduling many times due to the pandemic, one of the most important factors for their wedding was crafting a warm, celebratory ambiance. While also creating a unique and special experience for each of their guests. For that, they turned to the incredible team at Celebrations LLC.
With an October date, Rachel and Hirsh selected a dramatic and romantic color palette. This came in the form of various shades of pink from the lightest blushes to the deepest ruby and burgundy colors, accented with black and gold. Rachel’s Galia Lahav goddess-like gown complimented the drama to perfection (along with help from the beauty team, Charm City Top Knots and makeup by Lisa Kastellorizios.
For an idea of their design inspiration, here is Rachel herself:
“To play on the Pendry’s nod to masculine but fully glam vibe, we decided on a wrought iron chuppah to play against our romantic color scheme. We also incorporated mirrors in the design for each part of the evening, such as a mirrored aisle, mirrored tables and chairs, etc.”
“We wanted to give our guests the most out of the evening by utilizing all parts of the Pendry Hotel (the atrium, the pool and the ballroom) to create a unique experience for each part of the ceremony and reception. We also are getting the party started by serving champagne prior to the ceremony as guests come in. As for dinner, we opted to serve a duet entree so that everyone gets to try everything the Pendry created for the evening.
We also really wanted our wedding party to shine and feel amazing on our wedding day. Bridesmaids each picked a gown from a gold, bronze, and rose gold palette, everything else (fabric, style, cut, brand) was decided by each girl. The only rule was that the gown had to make the wearer feel absolutely incredible.”
These kinds of meticulous details are what make my job so amazing.
Rachel and Hirsh would stay at Pendry for their wedding night and weekend, as would many of their guests – rightfully so. They transformed it into an event so eye-catching and romantic that even Gatsby’s glare would be fixed upon it. It only seemed like the right thing to do.
